This Privacy Policy describes how moncadaeyewear.com (the "Site", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

Your consent, and how to change it

If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, a banner appears the first time you arrive. Until you choose, we set only the cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Site. Analytics and advertising technologies run only if you accept them, and you can accept or decline each category separately under Manage preferences.

You can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie preferences from the banner link, or by clearing this Site's cookies in your browser so that the banner appears again. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it, and it does not stop you from buying: the cart and the checkout work either way.

Collecting personal information

  • Device and browsing information. Browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, the pages and products you view, search terms and how you interact with the Site. Collected through cookies, log files, tags and pixels. The strictly necessary part is collected to make the Site work; the analytics and advertising part is collected only with your consent.
  • Order information. Name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number. Collected from you, to fulfil your order, take payment, arrange shipping, send invoices and order confirmations, communicate with you and screen orders for fraud.
  • Customer support information. What you write to us, used to answer you.

Minors

The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, write to us and we delete it.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify Inc. powers our online store, checkout, customer accounts and email campaigns.
  • Payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna) process your payment. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. receives advertising and measurement events through the Meta pixel and the Conversions API — only if you accept marketing cookies.
  • wetracked.io measures site and purchase events server-side and forwards them to our advertising platforms — only if you accept marketing cookies.
  • UpPromote attributes orders that come from our affiliate partners.
  • Dianxiaomi is the order management tool our production partner uses: it receives your name, shipping address and order contents.
  • Our production and shipping partners in Wenzhou, China receive your name, address and phone number to pack and ship your parcel.
  • Couriers deliver your parcel and provide tracking.

We may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

Where you have accepted marketing cookies, we use your information to show you advertising we believe may interest you and to measure whether it works. You can withdraw that consent at any time as described above.

Lawful basis

Under the GDPR we process your personal information on these bases: your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies and for marketing emails; performance of the contract between you and us, to take and deliver your order; compliance with our legal obligations, for invoicing and accounting; and our legitimate interests, for fraud prevention and the security of the Site, where they do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Retention

Order and invoicing data: 10 years, as required by Italian tax and accounting law. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe. Support messages: 24 months. Your consent choice: up to 6 months, after which we ask again.

Automated decision-making

We do not take decisions about you by automated means that produce legal effects. Shopify applies limited automated fraud screening to orders, which does not have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, updated or erased, to receive it in a portable format, to ask us to restrict how we use it, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to sales@moncadaeyewear.com and we answer within one month.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of our providers are in the United States, Canada or China. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified. Ask us and we send you details of the safeguards in place.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma, or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live.

Do Not Track

Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not change our data collection practices when we receive one. Your choice on the cookie banner is what governs.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
