Why Italian acetate?
Cheap sunglasses are moulded plastic: painted on the outside, light, dull after one summer.
Ours are cut from a block of Italian acetate and polished by hand. The colour runs all the way through, the frame has weight, and any optician can adjust it to your face.
Around 60 steps to finish one frame, with a metal core running inside each temple — you can see it at the hinge.
Lenses are polarized, UV400: they cut glare, not just light.
Acetate ages like leather. Polish it and it comes back.
